'Awareness, Action, and You' 

Using the Principles of Inclusivity, explore how communities and individuals can foster inclusivity for persons with visible and invisible disabilities, such as visual or auditory disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health.  The focus of this experiential workshop is on the capabilities and strengths of all individuals.   

Workshop Goal:

To learn how to cultivate inclusive communities for individual’s with differing abilities by focusing on capabilities and understanding the needs of others.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and understand challenges and perspectives of individuals with differing abilities.
  • Learn how to build an inclusive culture by focusing on the capabilities and skills of individuals without assumptions or labels.
  • Enhance self-awareness of tools and resources to support an accessible work environment.

Note: The Principles of Inclusivity (OHD502) workshop is a prerequisite
