Part of the Inclusivity Certificate Series

The Principles of Inclusivity provides the framework for this experiential session where participants develop an awareness of "invisible minorities" in the workplace. The workshop is structured to provide a safe and respectful environment for dialogue on sexual orientation and gender identity, regardless of participants' prior backgrounds or comfort levels with the subject matter.

Workshop Goal:

To develop an awareness of invisible minorities and learn how to advocate for safe and inclusive environments.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the meaning of invisible minorities and identify associated challenges and perspectives.
  • Learn how to promote awareness of sexual orientation and gender identity to enable an inclusive dialogue.
  • Review and acknowledge resources available to advocate and champion for safe inclusive communities.

Note: The Principles of Inclusivity workshop is a prerequisite.
