The Organizational & Human Development Team

Part of the Inclusivity Certificate Series 

Using the Principles of Inclusivity, we will explore strategies for recognizing diversity and our personal reactions to difference.  Learn to understand your reactions through interactive exercises, focusing on observation, active listening, perspective taking, and the art of mindfulness. Discover your personal, unconscious biases and how they may be a barrier to inclusivity.

Workshop Goal:

To recognize diversity through a personal lens by seeking different perspectives and increasing awareness of personal assumptions.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and understand how your unconscious biases are present in everyday situations.
  • Understand the meaning and foundation of assumptions by examining and challenging your personal assumptions.
  • Consider multiple perspectives through observation and active listening.

Note: The Principles of Inclusivity workshop is a prerequisite.
