Sadly, we are saying goodbye to learning & development specialist Gitanjali Shanbhag, who is heading to a new role with the Centre for Extended Learning. We want to thank Gitanjali for her notable contributions to the Leadership Essentials program, the new asynchronous Working in Hybrid Teams modules, and so much more. ❤️
LET'S HEAR IT FOR OUR SPRING 2022 CO-OP STUDENTS!
Working with OHD this term has been an educational and exciting experience. I could not have asked for a more positive first co-op environment! Everyone on the OHD team has provided me with so many different learning opportunities. Working in this department has allowed me to feel as though I am helping people within the University and truly making an impact. In my time at OHD I have learned that a healthy workplace is one where everyone strives to help you learn and succeed!
- Melissa, 3A Psychology (Minor in Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies)
Throughout my co-op term working in OHD, I’ve been able to work on some really fun and interesting projects. From Staff Orientation to producing and facilitating workshops to running OHD’s social media (give us a follow - @OHDUwaterloo), I feel like I’ve been able to spend time doing truly meaningful work. Collaborating with a team that’s so focused on learning and development has helped me gain a huge appreciation for the importance of personal development and I’ve learned just how important it is to have opportunities for staff to feel welcomed, appreciated, and invested in. I’ve learned so much throughout this term and I’m so excited for the next co-op student who will be taking my place!
- Matthew, 3A Psychology
From all of us in OHD - thank you Matthew & Melissa for one incredible co-op term. You hit the ground running and have added such value to our work this term. We will miss you, but are wishing you great success in your academic and career journeys!
