BIKE CAGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • To enter the bike cage, use your personal access fob and assigned location. Each rack is assigned to each individual. Please do not place your bike in another rack other than the one assigned to you. If you find a bike in your assigned location that is not registered to you please contact parking services at ext 33100, if assistance is require between 4:30pm - 7:30am please contact UW Constable Services at ext 22222. If your registered bike is found in a different rack the University of Waterloo will promptly notify the user of immediate termination & the removal of the bike.
  • The cage is meant to be used for bicycles commuting and not for permanent storage. If for some reason your bike needs to remain in the cage for longer than 2 weeks please make arrangements through parking services.
  • Place & lock your bicycle in the rack provided and respect the other bicycles within the facility by avoiding accidental scratching or other damages.
  • Do not give any non-user access to the facility. Do not prop or hold the entrance gate open. Please ensure that the door is closed and locked each time you exit the facility
  • The University of Waterloo is not responsible for the damage, theft, or loss of any property stored in the locker during the user’s contract.
  • A monthly fee of $10.00 per month plus tax is payable on or before the first day of the contract period or renewal date. If there is a break within the  
  • Fees are subject to change at the discretion of the University of Waterloo parking services. Any increase or decrease in fees will be applied to all new rental agreement and renewal agreements.
  • The fee is non-transferable and not assignable to another party 
  • Any lost or stolen keys/fobs must be reported to parking services. A replacement key or fob will be provided at an additional cost of $20.00
  • If the user shall terminate the contract before the end of their renewal, the amount remaining will be refunded.
  • The user agrees that no food, perishable items, hazardous or combustible materials including oils and aerosol will be left or stored in the lockers/shelter at any time.
  • At the end of the users contract the user must clean the locker thoroughly, remove all contents & return the fob or key to Parking Services ( GSC 1112 ). Fobs & Keys must be returned to Parking Services at the end of the rental term
  • The Agreement entitles you to store one bicycle. Gasoline-powered bikes, motorbikes, mopeds, or scooters/e-scooters etc. are not permitted. The shelter accommodates standard-sized bicycles it does not accommodate oversized wheels, extra bike attachments, helments, pumps, etc. If your bike does not fit in the channels your permit will need to be surrendered and fob returned.
  • Please note that the secure bicycle parking policies will be reviewed annually and is subject to revision each year.
