SUMMARY:Looking at the Sky
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Engaging with art demands vulnerability and builds the muscles
 we need\nto navigate conflict\, political resistance\, suffering\, and hea
ling in\nour community and our world. This exhibit challenges viewers to\n
embrace both the beautiful and the broken parts of themselves. Nina\nBaile
y-Dick’s powerful batiks and collages are a feminist\ndeclaration of lov
 e for the land\, self-love\, and a call to action:\nSpeak up\, take up spa
ce\, make art\, and share vulnerability to build\nthe resilience needed fo
r personal and collective healing and\naction.  \n\nThis exhibit asks us
to own and even value our own cracks and messy\nlayers\, refusing to choo
se between suffering and\ncontentment\, brokenness and beauty. Nina remi
nds us that holding\nboth in tension is our work.  \n\nTHIS EXHIBIT WILL
  BE OPEN FROM SATURDAY\, APRIL 4 TO WEDNESDAY\, APRIL\n29.
