Come join a presentation, discussion and fundraiser on responses to the violent crisis in Syria. Bruce Guenther, Director of Disaster Response for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) - Canada, and a Syrian activist skyping in from Homs, Syria, will be speaking about the conflict and relief efforts. Delectable Syrian desserts and discussion to follow. This event is an ongoing collaborative initiative put on by members of the Syrian, PACS and Grebel communities at the University of Waterloo. There is no admission cost, but we will be selling raffle tickets and accepting donations for MCC’s relief efforts in Syria.
