Facilitated by Professor Margaret (Mags) Watson, of the Universities of Strathclyde and Bath (honorary) in the UK, the purpose of this workshop is to highlight behaviours with which academics should engage to enhance their effectiveness in their academic roles. The content is informed by the results of interviews with an international cohort of successful academics from a wide range of disciplines and supplemented by literature. The hands-on 2 hour workshop will be interactive with didactic sessions, small group work and group discussion.
All proceeds will be directed to initiatives that enhance the educational and professional development of pharmacy students here at Waterloo.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
