REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! Be sure to register here to attend virtually or in-person.

We look forward to inviting Waterloo Pharmacy alumni, Waterloo Pharmacy students and other local pharmacy professionals to this event!

CE Saturday Program Overview:

  • 9:30 am - "Prescription for a Changing Climate: Advancing Sustainable Practices in the Pharmacy Profession" - Keynote Speaker: Dr. Katherine Gruenberg, PharmD, MAEd, BCPS, BCIDP

Climate change is a significant threat to human health. Our healthcare system, particularly the pharmaceutical lifecycle, exacerbates this issue through emissions and environmental pollution. Educating pharmacists about these impacts is crucial to encourage sustainable practices that lead the way towards a healthier and greener future.

Pharmacists are faced with mounting demands on their time and a huge volume of clinical evidence to sift through when making clinical decisions. In this action-packed talk, you'll learn more about the clinical tools and academic detailing services offered by the Centre for Effective Practice (CEP), and how these practical resources can help you bridge the gap between evidence and practice.
