Special Early Admissions Process

Consideration for special early admission has ended. Applications submitted after October 10 will be taken into consideration for admission to the PharmD program commencing in January 2019.

The School of Pharmacy will have a limited number of spaces available in the PharmD program commencing in January 2018. Highly qualified applicants who submit all supporting documents by October 10, 2017, and who have completed all of the required courses by the end of the spring/summer academic term (August 2017), will be considered for this opportunity. 

It is important to note that applicants considering special early admission, are still, technically, applying for January 2019 admission. When you receive acknowledgement of your application you will be asked whether you are interested in being considered for special admission in January 2018. Applicants who do not meet the above criteria/deadlines will be considered with the “regular” pool of applicants for January 2019. Select qualified applicants who satisfy the October 10, 2017 deadline, are invited to an interview in November, and accept their November interview invitation, will proceed according to the special early admissions application timeline described by the table below.

Your application will be acknowledged by email and you will be sent specific information on completing your online Admission Information Form (AIF) and the Reference Letter Form. 
September 7-19, 2017

OUAC shutdown

Applications are unavailable during this time. All applications that have been started but not submitted prior to September 7, will be deleted. The application system will be available once again on September 20.

October 10, 2017

Deadline to submit the January 2019 application, pay the application fee (midnight EST); and submit all supporting documents:

1. AIF

2. Interim post-secondary transcript(s) showing final grades up to the end of the spring/summer 2017 term as well as any course enrolment for the fall 2017 term

3. Reference Letter Form

4. Confirmation of English Language Requirements (if applicable)
October 27, 2017 Invitations for Pharmacy Admission Interviews sent by email. Those not invited to an interview will also be notified by email.
November 3, 2017 Deadline to confirm attendance for your interview. If you fail to respond by this date, your interview time may be assigned to another applicant.
November 12, 2017 Pharmacy Admission Interviews and Fundamental Skills Assessment (FSA) (for selected candidates).
November 23, 2017 Admission decisions communicated to all interviewed applicants.
November 30, 2017 Deadline to accept Offer of Admission to Pharmacy.
January 2018 Lectures begin

Important Note: Applicants who participate in the November 12, 2017 interview and FSA, as part of the special early admissions process, will not be required to take the Computer Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (CASPer) test.
