This December two School of Pharmacy students received the first-ever La Roche-Posay Dermatology Contest award. Taylor Gelinas and Kristi Butt are senior pharmacy students who both share a passion for community practice and an interest in supporting patients with dermatological conditions.

Though pharmacists in Ontario can provide more clinical services than ever before, many retail pharmacies can be too busy to offer one-on-one testing and medication review for all their patients.
On December 1, Ontario Minister of Health and Long Term Care Eric Hoskins announced that pharmacists will be able to administer vaccines to protect against 13 preventable diseases. Examples include Hepatitis A and B, typhoid, rabies, Herpes Zoster (Shingles) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
