Pharmacy alumnus recognized nationally with New Practitioner Award

In early June, pharmacists from across Canada attended PxP, a conference jointly hosted by the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) and the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA). At this event, Canada’s largest pharmacy conference, Waterloo Pharmacy alumnus Michael Kani of Rx2014 received the New Practitioner Award from the Canadian Pharmacists Association.

On June 13, 18 bridging students and one graduate student received their degrees at the University of Waterloo spring convocation. The School welcomed graduates and their friends and family for a pre-convocation celebration.

Last week was PxP, Canada’s largest pharmacy conference. Hosted by the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) and the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA), the conference connected pharmacists and pharmacy students from across Canada for two days of education, networking, and celebration.

Each year Waterloo Pharmacy presents awards to celebrate our outstanding partners in experiential education. These awards recognize preceptors and co-op supervisors who show exceptional dedication in their mentorship of Waterloo Pharmacy students. This year's outstanding mentors are Phil Hauser and Mark Pasetka; they received their awards at the PxP conference in Toronto earlier this week.
