Pharmacy students combat hunger in KW “Beyond the Counter”

The School of Pharmacy’s first CanBuild team collected a whopping 566 food items for CanBuild 2015, the University of Waterloo’s annual food drive.Volunteers created a life-size dispensary and called their initiative “Beyond the Counter”.

School announces Graduate Program Awards winners

Some of Canada’s finest research on molecular drug design, Alzheimer’s, and cancer happens right here, in the University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy. To celebrate the achievements of our MSc and PhD student researchers, the School offers annual Graduate Program Awards each December. This year, we also introduced a new faculty award for excellence in mentorship.

Professionals providing students with rewarding patient care rotations

The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy is Canada’s newest pharmacy school, but its roots in innovative experience-based education are firmly established.

It began with the Waterloo Pharmacy co-operative education program, the first and only co-op pharmacy program in Canada, which provides students with 48 weeks of practice-based education to connect what’s taught in the classroom with real-world experiences.
