Nicole graduated from Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy in 2013. She completed a hospital pharmacy residency at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
Since then, Nicole worked as a clinical pharmacist with LHSC’s Acute Care of the Elderly, outpatient Nephrology, and inpatient Mental Health programs. During this time, she has also had the pleasure of working as a pharmacist for the Thames Valley Family Health Team. Nicole served as the NAPRA Beyond-Use Dating Project Lead at LHSC from June of 2018 until March 2019. She is currently working as an academic detailing pharmacist for the Centre for Effective Practice. Through these opportunities, Nicole has been very fortunate to practice and learn about optimal patient care in a variety of settings.
Nicole’s co-op work terms helped her to develop an appreciation for experiential learning and a better understanding of the impact of mentorship on young professionals. While working at LHSC, she served as a preceptor for high school students, university students, and pharmacy residents. Nicole found the opportunity to work with learners at various career stages exciting and fulfilling, and she is excited to share her passion for experiential learning and preceptorship through her role as a Regional Clinical Coordinator.
