Regional Clinical Coordinator, Owen Sound; Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor

Stephan Sadikian photoStephan graduated in 1999 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, after which he completed a general hospital residency at St. Michael's Hospital in 2000. He was fortunate to have spent three years at Toronto East General Hospital, practising as a hospital pharmacist in the inpatient adult mental health unit.

Stephan and his family then moved to Owen Sound, where he has been employed at Grey Bruce Health Services, mainly as a pharmacist covering the general surgery unit. He works four days a week, which has afforded him the opportunity to do many things, including spending time with his children.

For the past four years Stephan has been a teaching assistant at Waterloo's School of Pharmacy for courses offered during the spring term. He also also been a preceptor for several pharmacy students over the past 15 years. Most recently, he took a position at the School of Pharmacy as the Regional Clinical Coordinator for the Owen Sound region and as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor.

Stephan knows the Owen Sound area well and has met many pharmacists who are excited to be preceptors for Waterloo's PharmD students. He looks forward to advancing the community of practice in the region.
