National Health Ethics Week Event

National Health Ethics Week, an initiative of the Canadian Bioethics Society presents "Makayla's Choice: Ethics and the Aboriginal Right to Pursue Traditional Medicine".

Christopher Lowry, Assistant Professor, Philosophy department and Andria Bianchi, PhD candidate Philosophy will each give a presentation on ethical issues related to the two recent cases involving parental (or perhaps, in one case, mature minor) refusal of chemotherapy and the aboriginal right to pursue traditional medicine.
