Philosophers of biology throughout Canada met at the University of Calgary to discuss future directions for the field on Sept. 26 and 27, 2014. Six extensive discussions started with lectures and commentaries. Carla Fehr, Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy, participated as a commentator. The Summit also included a poster forum where Canadian graduate students and postdoctoral fellows presented their research.
Heather Douglas, Waterloo Chair in Science and Society, at the invitation of Sir Peter Gluckman, Chief Science Advisor to New Zealand, was asked to speak at the conference Science Advice to Governments, August 28-29, 2014.
