Andria Bianchi was recently interviewed on CBC Kitchener-Waterloo's The Morning Edition about her research on sex, dementia and consent.
In February, Andria participated in the Arts Three Minute Thesis competition and was selected the winner for the second day of the contest. She spoke with great eloquence about the challenges of establishing sexual consent when one or both partners has dementia. About 75 million people will have dementia by 2030, she said. They are unable to consent to sex, yet many are sexually active.
In March, Andria competed in the University wide 3MT contest where she placed as the runner up.
