Course Description

Have you ever wondered what your dog is thinking? If so, you are in the company of many philosophers, biologists, psychologists, anthropologists, and dog handlers and trainers. Scientific investigations of canine minds can help us better understand what it is like to be a dog and more clearly characterize the nature of the relationships between human and nonhuman animals. This class explores the social and ethical features of scientific research on canine cognition.
