This week we have Kevin Edawards (UW/Herschel) who will tell us about:
Supporting large international observatories
Our team at the University of Waterloo provides technical and scientific support for several international observatories. We have been major partners in creating and supporting these facilities, as well as the development of new astronomical facilities. As a member of this team I will describe the facilities that we are currently working with and will outline my respective role in these projects. In particular I will focus on the Herschel Space Observatory, the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (in Hawaii), and the CCAT observatory which will be built in Chile.
