Sr2RuO4 is known to be an odd-parity, spin-triplet superconductor even though whether it is also a chiral p-wave superconductor has not been resolved. I will present a brief overview of Sr2RuO4 before reporting our recent work on Sr2RuO4, focusing on doubly connected mesoscopic cylinders prepared by a combination of conventional and unconventional nanofabrication techniques and used for the detection of the half-flux-quantum (h/4e) state, whose existence in Sr2RuO4 was first explored experimentally at UIUC. I will discuss our magnetoresistance oscillation results showing evidence for the half-flux-quantum state and the implication of our work on topological quantum computing in the context of the predicted existence of a Majorana mode bound to a half vortex of a chiral spin-triplet superconductor.
