PhysiX: Girls Matter 2018

The Department of Physics and Astronomy, as part of the HeForShe IMPACT 10x10x10 campaign, is hosting 125 students in Grades 7 and 8 for free hands-on activity workshops, inspiring talks, and a panel discussion, to encourage and engage girls in exploring physics.

Join us on December 1st to connect with like-minded students in exciting workshops, meet role models, and hear mentors share their experiences. If you are in middle school and have an inquisitive, creative mind this one-day, free event will broaden your understanding of what physics is, what physicists do, and what is so interesting about this field.

This is a free event, with lunch provided. Attendees will choose their top three workshops and are guaranteed attendance in two of those.
