Our professors had such a great time in Toronto last year, they insisted on a second round!
One again we're bringing a little bit of the Faculty of Science to Toronto for some casual academic conversations. Pull up a chair, have a drink and a few munchies on us, and engage in some spirited discussions with various science faculty members.
Learn more about astrophysics and those black hole images, inquire about our latest plans for a new science building, hear all about the latest research successes in biology, or simply catch up with a professor you haven't seen in more years than you'd like to count.
Here are some of the professors joining us. A few more will be added shortly!
Chair of Chemistry, Bill Power
Director of the Waterloo Centre for Astrophysics, Will Percival
Chair of Physics, Brian McNamara
Plus professors from earth sciences and biology!
The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
