Waterloo physicists propose experiment to define the fundamental nature of light

First-year student wins Schulich Leader Scholarship

Emily Pass, a first-year physics and astronomy student was awarded a $60,000 Schulich Leader Scholarship for her outstanding admission average, leadership initiatives and interest in entrepreneurship.

“I was in Junior Achievement and helped to found a decal-making business, so Waterloo's reputation for innovation and entrepreneurship definitely gave the school an even greater appeal in my eyes,” said Pass.
