Can be used to clarify several concepts about static electricity, such as:
- Objects may be electrically neutral, possess an overall positive charge or possess an overall negative charge.
- Charging objects can be accomplished by two methods; Charging by Conduction ("contact" with a charged object) or; Charging by Inuction ("non-contact" proximity to a charged object).
- Like charges repel one another, unlike charges attract one another and a charged object will attract a neutral object.
- Conductors and insulators can be charged by both charging methods
