Master of Arts, Planning
B.A. Arts (Honours) in Communications, Simon Fraser University
My interest in planning began when I developed my undergraduate thesis at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. A component of it included an assessment of how city zoning and bylaws had influenced independent music production and consumption in Vancouver. Following graduation in 2014, I completed University of British Columbia’s Certificate in Cultural Planning, which focused on professional skill building such as community consultation strategies and strategic planning. I am presently interested in both cultural and social planning from an advocacy perspective.
I will be assessing housing options for persons with disabilities in the Waterloo Region. I intend on examining the range of options available while assessing factors such as affordability and proximity to health as well as social services.
