Suspect in Recent Thefts at CIF and PAC

Suspect in thefts from lockers at PAC and CIF.

Campus Police are investigating the theft of a backpack from a locker in locker room at the PAC during the afternoon of Sat. Sept 22. It is believed this theft is related to several other thefts from lockers committed at the PAC and CIF during the last few weeks. 

Campus Police are attempting to identify the male in this photo and to speak with him related to his involvement in these thefts.

Waterloo Regional Police on Thursday announced that a sexual assault alleged to have happened on the University of Waterloo campus on Monday, Sept. 17, did not occur.

On Monday, September 17, between 10 and 10:30 p.m., a female student was sexually assaulted by two males while walking through the west cul de sac between Village 1 and Mackenzie King Village.

Serious Assault on Campus

On the evening of September 17 between 10 pm and 10:30 pm a female student was walking through the west cul de sac between Village 1 and Mackenzie King Village.  The student was seriously assaulted by two males who then fled. We remind students to be aware of their personal safety and when possible walk with others. Police have increased patrols in the area of the residences.

Laptop Stolen - and Recovered

An arrest of two males, one being a Waterloo student, occurred on July 19th on Math roadway. University police initiated an investigation when a student reported the theft of his laptop from the Dana Porter Library on July 17th. The victim was later contacted, asking if he wished to purchase his own laptop back.

With the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Crime Management Team, the two suspects were arrested. Charges include possession of stolen property and possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking.
