University of Waterloo Police remind everyone that when drinking, BE SAFE
During events like Reunion and St. Patrick's Day, police see an increase in:
- Pickpocketing
- Sexual assaults
- Injuries and Illnesses
- Assaults
- Break and enters
- Alcohol poisoning
- Theft from open residences
- Impaired driving
Be warned, police will write tickets, such as:
$400 – Excessive noise
$200 – Littering
$125 – Underage drinking – Drinking in public – Having an open container of liquor in public
$65 – Being intoxicated in public (also subject to arrest)
