    The Department of Political Science at the University of Waterloo are deeply concerned by the United States government's Executive Order banning travel to the USA for citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, banning all refugees for 120 days and suspending the arrival of Syrian refugees indefinitely.

    The Department of Political Science hosted the 51st Annual Federal-Provincial Government Conference Simulation on Dec 6 and 7, 2016. We welcomed more than 350 students on campus from 15 local high schools.

    In light of recent events such as the Trump Presidency and Brexit, this one day conference will focus on the shift towards global (dis)integration. The conference will include discussions of the relationships between trade and economics, security, and public policy as they contribute to global (dis)integration.
