Welcome to the International Trade Minor
The international trade minor is housed in the department of Political Science.
International trade, the exchange of goods and services across borders, has far-reaching socio-economic and political implications and is determined by a complex array of factors. Trade benefits consumers by expanding the variety of consumer products available, stimulating competition, and interacting with other international flows like foreign investments and technology transfers, as well as with global objectives such as international development and environmental preservation. While exporters benefit, industries competing with imports incur substantial costs of adjustment. There is often substantial scope and demand for government intervention.
The courses offered as a part of this minor help you explore international trade from a variety of perspective. You'll use theoretical, empirical, and policy -oriented approaches to your work.
