First job after MA degree: Municipal Advisor in the Central Municipal Services Office, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Ontario Public Service

Experience after graduating: After completing my co-op placement as a Policy Assistant in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, I secured my first job as a Municipal Advisor in the Central Municipal Services Office, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Ontario Public Service. After working in this role for a year, I started a new role as a Senior Policy Advisor with the Local Government and Policy Branch in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The skills I learned throughout my graduate courses, experiences as a teaching assistant and research assistant, and my co-op placement such as critical thinking and communication skills have been instrumental to my career development thus far.
