Counter-Terrorism in the High Seas
Why is Canada’s involvement necessary?

CTF150 is a multinational group of ships and aircrafts conducting counter-terrorism operations as a part of Operation ARTEMIS in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sean, Gulf of Man and the Indian Ocean.  CTF150 works to deter and deny terrorist organizations  from using the high seas for smuggling weapons, illicit cargo and narcotics while ensuring the safe passage of merchant ships in some of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.

Commodore Santarpia was commander of CTF150 from December 2014 to April 2015.
