Ivy League bound...

PN Lab member Huaqi Li has successfully defended her honours thesis, and will be starting her masters degree in the fall at Yale University. Congratulations on both counts Huaqi!

A new PN Lab study reveals that the brain’s self-control network may play a more important role in regulating how we think after the first few bites than than in the lead up to tasting food. The findings are published in the July issue of Appetite.

Congratulations!

PN Lab member Cassandra Lowe has successfully defended her PhD dissertation. In the spring of 2018 Cassandra will be moving onward and upward to the Brain and Mind Institute at Western University to pursue her postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Bruce Morton. Well done Cassandra!

Parkwood Operational Stress Injury clinic has announced that they will be significantly increasing their treatment capacity for military personnel struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues, with an expansion that will result in a doubling of available space. The facilities will be dedicated to the treatment of veterans and soldiers, as well as RCMP officers.
