Thank you to all the following campus partners for your continued support of the Problem Lab and for creating valuable learning opportunities for UWaterloo students during their academic and professional careers.
The Problem Lab provides guidance and resources to Zero Experience students who are working on the problem phase of innovation. Whether students are interested in entrepreneurship, research, or getting career-ready, the Problem Lab and The Zero Experience help students become better innovators.
Concept and the Problem Lab work together to create a seamless path from researching and understanding important problems to developing
the solution into a viable business with Concept's support.
The Co-op Problem Awards are offered to two students that provide the best analysis of an important problem relevant to a co-op employer, or the employer's industry.
UW Entrepreneurship Society (EntSoc) is a student run club that aims to build inclusive innovation by exposing students of all faculties to Waterloo's entrepreneurial ecosystem. They run events, work on internal projects and act as bridge builders to make the entrepreneurial resources and opportunities at UW more accessible to students.
The Library and the Problem Lab work together to ensure that students use the full array of Library resources effectively for problem analysis. The Library offers particular support for the student teams in the Quantum Valley Investments® Problem Pitch competition.
The Waterloo Commercialization Office (WatCo) provides commercialization services to the campus community to facilitate the process of moving innovations from the lab to the marketplace. For technology innovations with high commercial potential, WatCo supports entrepreneurial minded innovators as they create startup companies.
