FRAUD ALERT

The University of Toronto’s Procurement Services department wants suppliers to be aware of potential fraud activity in which an email is sent to a supplier requesting urgent delivery of goods to a non-University of Toronto location. The emails in question do not use standard University of Toronto email addresses and if a telephone contact is given, it is not a University of Toronto phone number.

Suppliers are asked to ensure any email requests are from verified University of Toronto email addresses, that the contact number is a University of Toronto number, and that the delivery location is a University of Toronto location.

We are asking our community members and suppliers to be vigilant, and forward any suspected fraudulent activity in relation to the above to purchasing.help@utoronto.ca.
