Students may request to switch to a newer version of the calendar as long as they are enrolled in courses during that calendar year (for example, a student switching to the 2016/2017 calendar must be enrolled in courses Fall 2016 or later).

PSYCH 291 (Research Methods) and PSYCH 292 (Basic Data Analysis, required courses for every Psychology plan, will introduce you to the scientific methods for understanding mind and behaviour.
The remaining Psychology courses provide a general overview of the body of knowledge that currently exists in the diverse and exciting field of Psychology.
A Three-Year General Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is usually not sufficient for admission to graduate studies in Psychology. However, a Three-Year General degree can provide opportunities to advance into career focused / post-graduate programs designed for those who have completed a Bachelor's degree.

"Old" Degree requirement checklist for 3 Year General Psychology
Eligibility for graduation in the Three-Year General Psychology academic plan includes successful completion of the following requirements:
- Appropriate Program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.

- at least five academic course units (ten courses) in Psychology with a minimum cumulative Psychology average of 65%, including:

Honours Psychology Requirements prior to Fall 2016
Features of Honours Psychology (BA)
- Available on a regular or co-op system of study.
- Choose from a single Honours Major or a Joint Honours program.
- Psych 291 (Research Methods) and Psych 292 (Basic Data Analysis) will introduce you to the scientific methods for understanding mind and behaviour.
- Gain a broad perspective of psychological theory by taking courses from several areas in Psychology.
- Develop distinctive skills including observation, numeric, analytic, computer, and written and oral communication.
- In-depth training in the analytic skills of experimental design.
- Opportunities for experiential learning such as the capstone Honours Thesis course (Psych 499A/B/C) which is optional.

For those interested in the co-op system of study, direct inquiries regarding admission to Honours Arts and Business Co-op to the Arts and Business advisor.
- Admission to co-op must be no later than the 2A (year/level) fall school term. Those accepted will have five work terms. The first work term (winter) will follow the 2A term. The school/work sequence typically ends with a double school term.

Features of Honours Psychology Bachelor of Science (BSc)
Honours (BSc) Psychology within the Faculty of Science is particularly appropriate for students interested in cognitive neuroscience or cognitive psychology, or who plan to seek professional training in medicine, perhaps with specialization in neurology, psychiatry or pediatrics.
A strong background in the 'natural science' areas of psychology would complement a student's preparation for research or graduate work in these fields of study.
- Available on a regular or co-op system of study.
- Choose from a single Honours Major or a Joint Honours program.

- no more than 1.0 lab unit.
- 9.0 units in Psychology (PSYCH) as listed for Honours BA Psychology.

Degree requirement checklist for "Old" Honours Psychology (BSc)
Joint Honours (BA or BSc) Psychology Programs prior to Fall 2016
Joint Honours Psychology Program Requirements prior to Fall 2016
The Psychology courses (PSYCH) required for Joint Honours Psychology (pre 2016) are the same as for "Old" Honours BA Psychology (BA) (single Major) with the following exception:
- Those in the single Major take 9.0 units of PSYCH courses whereas those in "Old" Joint Honours Psychology take 8.0 units. There are two psychology course waivers (total of 1.0 units) for "Old" Joint Honours Psychology.
- These course waivers are determined in consultation with the Psychology Undergraduate Advisor and should be done prior to third year (level 3A)

Joint Honours students whose first major also has required research methods and statistics courses may be exempt from the Psychology research methods and statistics courses (PSYCH 291 and 292). However, students still need to take a minimum of 16 PSYCH courses to complete the "Old" Joint Honours Psychology requirements.

Students whose first major is Psychology are NOT permitted to take substitute courses in place of PSYCH 291/292.
