RECRUITING TEAM INTERN – TORONTO, CANADA (Seasonal; September through December 2018)

OVERVIEW

The primary focus will be supporting our Canadian recruiting team throughout the fall campus recruiting season.  You will be responsible for  support before, during and after recruiting events as well as a diverse range of tasks as they come up. You will be based out of the Toronto office but will support teams in our Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver offices as well.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

•    Perform diverse duties to support multiple recruiters as part of our campus focused hiring efforts for the Canadian offices

•    Work closely with the recruiting team to carry out campus recruiting strategies by providing support in whatever capacity is needed

•    Tasks will include attending and assisting with staffing recruiting events with consultants, preparing schedules and materials for interview days and providing project assistance for the Canadian team

•    Provide end-to-end support for local office interview days, including assisting with logistics, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate schedules, assisting with "day of" logistics and managing post interview tasks as necessary

•    Manage a high volume of online applications; process and track applications; monitor candidate assessment results and update candidate management database

•    Provide administrative assistance throughout the identification, attraction and early assessment stages of full cycle recruiting

•    Run reports and assist the analytics team with special data requests

DESIRED SKILLS

•    Working towards a commerce (or relevant) degree with a focus in HR

•    Experience with recruitment/HR is an asset

•    Outstanding organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple streams of work independently; meticulous attention to detail

•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build strong relationships

•    Flexibility to deal with ambiguity and last-minute changes and ability to remain calm under pressure

•    Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity

•    Proactive problem solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions; desire and energy to continuously improve and learn throughout the process

•    Discreet, respectful and caring with confidential information

•    Strong computer skills; experience with recruiting tools and programs preferred

•    Ability to prioritize and look beyond own responsibilities to help team members with urgent deadlines

•    Comfortable working with minimal direction and flexibility to work overtime as required

•    Must be eligible to work in Canada

Duties:

  • Managing recruitment and scheduling of participants
  • Running lab studies
  • Helping with surveys
  • Other duties depending on your interests and skills (e.g., literature review, data analysis, etc.)
