Junior Recruiter - Temporary Position (6 – 9 months)

Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources
Location: Waterloo, ON

NAVBLUE is currently seeking a Junior Recruiter, who will be responsible for supporting full-cycle recruitment of staff across our global locations, and will support all members of the HR department in recruitment and selection processes. When required, this position will help support other generalist functions within the Human Resources Department.

• Coordinates recruitment activity including preparation and release of internal and external recruiting advertisements, scheduling interviews, and researching new avenues for talent acquisition

• Assist in sourcing of active candidates and performing pre-screen interviews

• Perform and document reference checks for new hires across all of our global locations

• Work closely with external recruitment sources (UofW coop program, Communitech, Cardiff University, other Universities across our global locations)

• Assist in coordinating of on-boarding process for new hires including messaging new hires to inform them of the process, office allocations and notifications internally of new hires

• Occasionally responsible for other Human Resources Generalist activities

Academic/Educational Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Human Resources or equivalent work experience

Required Skills/Experience:

• Actively pursuing a CHRP designation a definite asset

• Prior Recruitment Experience is a definite asset

• Well organized and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make informed decisions

• Possess high degree of efficiency and accuracy in daily tasks

• Service oriented and understand the importance of diplomacy and confidentiality

• Effective communication skills (written & oral)

• Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite

This role will entail screening IT candidates for contract and full-time positions, coordinating interviews, creation of Staffing Agreements and potential elements of New Business Development. This contract opportunity will include base salary plus commission.

IT Recruiter

  • Working alongside the Professional Services Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager the IT Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing and screening candidates for contract and permanent positions with FoxNet clients
  • Recruitment for a variety of positions related to Information Technology including: Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Network Engineers, PC Technicians and Quality Assurance
  • Previous experience using Applicant Tracking systems is preferred ex. (Bullhorn)
  • Creation of Job postings
  • Out of the box thinking with regards to sourcing talent through a variety of traditional and non-traditional methods – LinkedIn Recruiter, Job postings, Meetup Groups, Local Events
  • Scheduling of interviews, meetings and events
  • Attend and represent FoxNet at job fairs, Trade Shows and Community Events, occasionally needing to stay after hours
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients – Stakeholders and technical teams
  • Manage contract employees while on assignments – ensuring professionalism, guidance and support
  • Set-up and on-boarding of new hires
  • Dedicated, outgoing and professional attitude that is open to learning, growing and working as a team
