Applied Health Science Computing Office

The computer lab is available for all Applied Health Sciences students, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your account provides access to a number of software packages and a laser printer (students are charged a minimal fee per page). Contact the Computing Office for lab location.

Centre for Career Action The Centre for Career Action offers services including various resources, workshops, events and individual appointments for students. Appointments can be made for the following: résumé and cover letter critique, career exploration and decision making including job search advice, mock interviews for jobs and professional school, and assistance with grad/professional school process and review.

Student Success Office

The University of Waterloo's Student Success Office offers various initiatives and programs to promote continued student success and an improved overall student experience.

International Student Resources Ask an immigration consultant for assistance with your Canadian immigration status, medical coverage or information about government resources. The consultants are happy to assist you during your time at the UWaterloo, and all consultations are free and confidential.

Writing and Communication Centre

The University of Waterloo Writing and Communication Centre is a hub of communication and writing practice, support, and research on campus. Writing a paper? Designing a portfolio? Giving a presentation? We're here to help you to work through all stages of the communication process.

The Centre

The Centre combines the front-line services of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) and the Registrar’s Office (RO), including Student Awards & Financial Aid (SAFA).
Health Services Health Services provides services including the student medical clinic, occupational health, mental health, nutrition services, and health education including the Personal Best Program, which assist students with promoting and maintaining overall health and wellness.
Counselling Services Counselling Services in Needles Hall offers free confidential counselling (group and individual) and consultation for students.
Workshops Workshops offered through Counselling services assist students in a variety of areas including study skills, anxiety, procrastination, preparing for exams, and stress reduction.
AccessAbility Services AccessAbility Services promotes access to programs, services, and facilities for students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors with permanent or temporary disabilities. The office provides information to students, academic accommodations, and various support services.

Housing and Residences

The Housing and Residences team is comprised of four business units:student development and residence life, residence facilities, housing occupancy & marketing services, and office of the director.
Tutoring in Residence The living learning program offers tutoring in residence for a variety of courses on a weekly basis.
Student Mentorship Program

weCONNECTu is a mentoring program offered for students by students. Our upper-year mentors offer a variety of programs to assist first-year students in AHS including workshops and review sessions. Students can also be matched with an upper-year mentor for one-on-one support and as a contact for questions.

Supported Learning Groups

Supported Learning Groups (SLGs) are free study sessions intended to give first-year students a chance to study with classmates for some particularly challenging courses. SLG sessions focus on modelling learning strategies on "how to learn", while being integrated with the "what to learn".

The Department of Housing and Residences empowers students to make the housing choice that is right for them.

WATCARD Office

The WatCard office is responsible for the printing and distribution of the University of Waterloo's campus identification card. 

Turnkey Desk

Have a question, need directions, need a study room, need a drink, the Turnkey Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and has operated almost continuously since 1968.

Campus Dentist

Campus Dentist offers a wide variety of services and welcome all including the student body, faculty and staff.

Optometry Clinic

The University of Waterloo Optometry Clinics provide optometric services including eye examinations and spectacle dispensing for patients of all ages.
