SUMMARY:On complete Calabi-Yau manifolds asymptotic to cones
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:JUNSHENG ZHANG\, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BERKELEY\n\nWe proved
  a \"no semistability at infinity\" result for complete\nCalabi-Yau metric
s asymptotic to cones\, by eliminating the possible\nappearance of an inte
rmediate K-semistable cone in the 2-step\ndegeneration theory developed by
  Donaldson-Sun. As a consequence\, a\nclassification result for complete C
alabi-Yau manifolds with Euclidean\nvolume growth and quadratic curvature
decay is given. Moreover a\nbyproduct of the proof is a polynomial converg
ence rate  to the\nasymptotic cone for such manifolds. Joint work with So
 ng Sun.\n\nQNC 2501
