“Vertex algebras, affine Lie algebras and their representations”
We shall first present basic research directions in the theory of vertex algebras and infinite- dimensional Lie algebras. We shall discuss the repre- sentation theory of C2-cofinite vertex algebras. In the second part of the talk we shall presents some new applications of vertex algebras to the rep- resentation theory of affine Lie algebras. In particular, we shall study the irreducibility of Wakimoto modules at the critical level.
