“Automorphisms of projective varieties and potential density, I ”

My plan is to give a couple of talks in which I’ll give an overview of what is known about automorphisms of projective varieties. I’ll also talk about the use of Skolem’s method and the analytic arc theorem as a means of studying orbits of points under automorphisms. Finally, I’ll connect all of this to the problem of showing when a projective variety has a dense set of K-points, where K is a number field.
