Events - November 2013

Friday, November 8, 2013 — 2:30 PM EST

Ross Willard, Department of Pure Mathematics, University Waterloo

“Varieties with a difference term. I”

Thursday, November 7, 2013 — 4:30 PM EST

Kenneth Onuma, Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Waterloo

In this talk, I will define the following notions: transitive subalgebras, d-irreducible subalgebras and (k,m)-transitive subalgebras of linear operators on a vector space. I will give some examples and prove a structure theorem for minimal (k,m)-transitive subalgebras of linear operators on a vector space.
