"Irreducible vector bundles on hyperkähler twistor spaces"
A holomorphic vector bundle on a complex manifold is called irreducible if it has no proper subsheaves of lower rank. Irreducible bundles only occur on non-algebraic manifolds, and are hard to study, since there are no known techniques of constructing such bundles in general. I will talk about a new method of constructing irreducible bundles on the twistor space of a K3 surface, which is a 3-dimensional non-Kähler complex manifold, and I will also talk about the properties of such bundles. This is joint work with Indranil Biswas.
