"Toric geometry of G2 metrics"

This talk describes joint work with Thomas Bruun Madsen, where we consider the notion of multi-moment for torus actions on G2 manifolds.  It turns out that the case of actions by tori of dimension three is distinguished and that in this case several of the good features enjoyed by toric symplectic manifolds and hypertoric manifolds also hold in the G2 context.  I will describe the notion of multi-moment in this context, compare this with symplect and hyperKähler moment maps and give a G2 analogue of the Gibbons-Hawking Ansatz.
