 lattice\nordered semigroups\, the amenability for many classes of semigrou
 ps\nremain unanswered. We will give a brief overview of semigroup\namenabi
 lity\, and show some recent developments on this topic using\ndilation the
 ory. In particular\, we shall show that Artin monoids are\nnon-amenable ex
