SUMMARY:Analysis Seminar
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:ARTHUR TROUPEL\, UNIVERSITÉ PARIS CITÉ\n\n\"FREE WREATH PROD
UCT QUANTUM GROUPS AS FUNDAMENTAL C*-ALGEBRAS OF\nGRAPHS\"\n\nThe free wre
ath product of a compact quantum group by the quantum\npermutation group $
S_N^+$ has been introduced by Bichon in order to\ngive a quantum counterpa
rt of the classical wreath product. The\nrepresentation theory of such gro
ups is well-known\, but some results\nabout their operator algebras were s
 till open\, for example stability\nof Haagerup property\, of $K$-amenabili
ty or factoriality of the von\nNeumann algebra. I will present a joint wor
k with Pierre Fima in which\nwe identify these algebras with the fundament
al C*-algebras of certain\ngraphs of C*-algebras\, and we deduce these pro
perties from these\nconstructions.\n\nThis seminar will be held both onlin
 e and in person:\n\n* Room: MC 5479\n * Zoom link:\nhttps://uwaterloo.zoom
