  ACTIONS OF FUSION CATEGORIES ON C*-ALGEBRAS\"\n\nA fusion category is an 
 algebraic object that simultaneously\ngeneralizes finite groups and their 
 representation categories. Fusion\ncategories can ``act\" on C*-algebras b
 y bimodules\, extending the\nfamiliar concept of a group acting by automor
 phisms to a\nnon-invertible setting. Building actions of specific fusion c
 ategories\non specific C*-algebras is hard. In this talk\, we will discuss
  a\ngeneral method that allows for the construction of actions of fusion\n
 categories on interesting C*-algebras with minimal algebraic input. As\nan
  application\, we construct actions of exotic fusion categories on\nnoncom
 mutative tori. Based on joint work with David Evans.\n\nThis seminar will
