 ial values of L-functions as a gateway\ndrug to explore the motivic period
 s that underlie geometric content\nassociated to these L-values. In partic
 ular\, we will \"motivate\" an\nexplicit construction of classes built out
  of algebraic cycles\nassociated with the L-values L(Sym^n(E)\, n+m) and m
 use on the\nconsequences. We will try to make the talk as accessible as po
