DESCRIPTION:QIRUI LI\, POHANG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY / TORONT
O\n\n_The higher linear Arithmetic Fundamental Lemma over function fields_
\n\nThe study of special values and derivatives of automorphic L-functions
\nreveals deep connections between arithmetic geometry and harmonic\nanaly
sis. A central theme is the Arithmetic Fundamental Lemma (AFL)\,\nwhich pr
edicts precise identities between orbital integrals and\nintersection numb
ers of cycles. While methods based on perverse\nsheaves have achieved rema
rkable results in the function field case\,\nthey often obscure the underl
ying local geometry.\n\nIn this talk I will present recent progress on the
higher linear AFL\nthrough the framework of the Relative Trace Formula (R
TF). This\napproach provides explicit structural links between analytic or
bital\nintegrals and local intersection theory\, enabling direct local pro
ofs\nbeyond global sheaf-theoretic methods. I will also outline several ne
w\ndirections: extending the AFL by adding conductors\, and exploring\nthe
ir applications to global conjectures on derivatives of\nL-functions\, inc
 luding variants of Gross–Zagier type formulas.\n\nMC 5417
