 shift (of arbitrary countable multiplicity) as\na Hilbert module over the 
 disc algebra and the associated extension\ngroups. In relation with the pr
 oblem of determining whether this\nmodule is projective\, we consider a sp
 ecial class of extensions\, which\nwe call ”polynomial”.
